Wetwheels Jersey

The True Grit Wetwheels Challenge has been created to raise money and awareness for Wetwheels Jersey.

“We have been working on this event for some time and we’re excited it’s now able to go ahead, albeit in a different format from what we originally envisaged. The team at 3D, and our principal sponsors Ravenscroft, have been brilliant in helping us to shape the Challenge into something that will be fully compliant but at the same time exciting and fun. For us, this is a signature event for the year, helping to raise funds that will support us through 2021. Wetwheels Jersey has grown steadily but so have our costs as we complete more and more trips every year. Our service is completely free so we need to find creative ways to fundraise and continue to make sure as many people as possible can enjoy our marine environment.”

Dina Cook, Operations Director of Wetwheels Jersey

Wetwheels Jersey launched in September 2013, and became the second regional operator for the national disability power boating charity Wetwheels Foundation. It is registered in Jersey as company number 112084.

Wetwheels Jersey is perfectly positioned to operate across the Channel Islands.

The Wetwheels experience is designed to enable every disabled person the chance to experience the excitement of power boating. Wetwheels boats are truly unique by being fully accessible – not just giving you the chance to be a passenger, but also to take the helm as the skipper – everybody gets the chance to drive!

We depend on the goodwill of our wonderfully experienced volunteers and generous donors to bring Wetwheels to you. If you would like to be part of a Wetwheels experience, it doesn’t matter if you’re young or old; Just get in touch with Dina in the office to arrange your visit.

Wetwheels Jersey works with a large number of local charities to provide memorable experiences for their members including Jersey Mencap, Autism Jersey, Mont a l’Abbe School, Alzheimer’s Jersey, the Parkinson Society and Les Amis. Wetwheels also provides trips for visiting disabled passengers.

The Wetwheels team look forward to welcoming you aboard.
