About Wetwheels Jersey

Wetwheels Jersey provides life-changing access to the sea for people with disabilities through a specially designed, fully accessible powerboat.

For many of the children, adults and organisations we support, getting out on the water would simply not be possible otherwise. Wetwheels removes those barriers, creating opportunities for adventure, freedom and shared experiences with family, friends and carers.

Thanks to our volunteers, supporters and donors, all trips are provided free of charge, ensuring access is based on need.

Our Impact

Each year, Wetwheels Jersey provides free access to many community groups and charitable organisations:

– 200 trips a year, over 1500 passengers
– Working with 50+ schools, charities and care homes

Why 2026 Matters

Demand for Wetwheels continues to grow, and the current boat is now operating at full capacity. 2026 is a pivotal year.

Alongside meeting annual running costs, Wetwheels Jersey is raising funds towards a new fully accessible vessel.

The new boat will:
– Provide fully accessible boating experiences for people of all abilities
– Support wellbeing, independence and life skills
– Enable education, maritime training and volunteering
– Serve as a long-term asset for the Island, impacting thousands of lives over its lifetime
